21: Mechanics vs. Aesthetics

Can you put lipstick on a pig?
Can you lead a horse to water?

Is it the shape of the thing that draws you in, or the drawing of the shape that makes you feel something... LIKE really feel something. 
Is it the feeling we get from playing a game that brings us back, or the visuals? Or both? Or neither. What matters more, mechanics or aesthetics - this is precisely what the boys attempt to chew on this week. We don't get far with the discussion, because it's a massive one... But it was a great topic.
